Today I began this online magazine, with the hope that I can encourage people to write about a certain topic of which they are fond. Furthermore, something of which they have experience in. Although still in the planning stages, clearly (the scaffolding and cranes hover around this skeleton I know), I am working out that we can present in small article-shaped articles, our experiences in this world. I imagine the articles to be of varied subjects, each with people in the middle, doing things and learning things, and living this life, and telling others about it.
While things are getting going with this website, I will refrain from registering for a domain name and instead gauge the market, approach friends about writing articles, and try and generate some traffic. So far today, I have designed a preliminary logo using the font Niagara Solid (what do you think?), I began drafting the introduction to the project, which will state clearly and concisely the aim of the magazine, and designed a questionnaire aiming to aggregate audiences' online reading habits. I also got back a few results and gazed excitedly at the pies and bars.
Oh. Pies and bars... sounds like a good day.
'Dum Vivimus Vivamus' translates from Latin to 'While we live, let us live.' Alone, 'Vivimus' means just 'We live'. This magazine is meant to be a reflection of the various ways that we do just that, in little snippets of creative sparkle.
Help me however you can!
